I'm In Love!

I've decided to dive head first into the blogging world. After all, since I'm totally addicted to reading many other blogs, it seemed like the logical next step. I love my Google reader!

For years, I've wanted a new stand mixer. Ours has been dying a slow death for quite awhile now - after all it's about 24 years old. I wanted not just any mixer, but a fancy dancy Kitchen Aid mixer in one of those yummy colors. I can seriously say that I've spent many hours drooling over them on Amazon & comparing prices on many different websites. Yesterday, my dream came true. I'm the proud owner of a new Cobalt Blue Kitchen Aid. Much deliberation went into choosing the color. Daughter voted for red. I vetoed that. When you have green counters, that would be too much Christmas all year long. Son fluctuated between several colors, but eventually saw my very solid reasoning (I love blue, have always loved blue, blue is pretty) and picked blue. Smart boy! It's ALMOST too pretty to use, but that would be silly, so I'm off to make some chocolate chip pan cookies. Testing the dough before baking is required - quality control and all of that. It's rough, but someone's got to do it!
