Paint by Number Challenge

Time to dust off the old blog & play along with Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary challenge. We were given a sketch and a color palette to follow. My colors were white, ripe avocado, raspberry fizz, orange zest, and terracotta tile. Wow, those were tough colors for me to combine. Wayyyy outside my box!

Here's the card that I came up with. Sorry for the poor picture - can't wait for the sun to come out to get better light. The orange layer is embossed. I stamped the raspberry zest with a little Versa Dazzle ink - love how that turned out. Also can't tell it in the picture but I put a little sparkle on the butterflies with my new Spica glitter pen. Love the subtle hint of glitter on there!

By the way, this is a beautiful card, I love the bright cheery colors!

  2. Oh, so bright and happy, Mindy! Love the VersaDazzle & glitter pen work, and how you split the pink and white panel by using a border punch! Nice job!
